Stages & test format

  1. OSN-S (School)

    January – February 2026

    Selection at each school; schools register up to 5 students per field.

  2. OSN-K (District/City)

    18–19 June 2026

    100 questions multiple choice

    Duration: 2 hours

  3. OSN-P (Province)

    27–29 July 2026

    Theory: 50 MC + 5 essays · Practical: 2 data-analysis questions

    Duration: 2 hours + 1 hours

  4. National Semifinal

    12 August 2026

    32 MC theory + data-analysis essays; online oral test

    Duration: 40 + 80 + 150 minutes

  5. National Final

    14–20 September 2026 (in person)

    Theory (40 MC + 5 essays), apparatus test, fieldwork, problem review

    Duration: 3 days

  • Geology: Earth's formation & interior, plate tectonics, rock cycle, minerals, geomorphology, stratigraphy, seismology, geological hazards
  • Oceanography: hydrological cycle, coastal & seafloor morphology, seawater properties, currents, waves, tides
  • Meteorology: atmosphere, air masses, wind, clouds & precipitation, global climate, hydrometeorological hazards
  • Planetary science: celestial motion & orbits, coordinate & time systems, solar system, space weather
